All good things sadly come to an end and the Kilmore Annual Swim Meet is no exception. From our point of view we found the day to be an overwhelming success, the meet ran smoothly and the swimmers all seemed to enjoy themselves. The mixed open relays always draw big numbers and this year was no exception, two full heats, 48 fast swimmers and some very loud and excited supporters made each of these events very exciting.
We had great support from most clubs when it came to timekeeping, we are only a small club and once we allocate all of our jobs we don’t have many people left over to time keep. So we would like to give a big thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to time keep, your efforts are greatly appreciated and hopefully one day we will repay the favor.
Our Meet Champions who put in a tremendous effort on the day were; Female Champion: Katharine Grounds from EC Waves and Male Champion: Darcy Frew from Gisborne Thunder. Our overall Champion Club with a score of 1997 points was CA Tritons, coincidentally coached by former Kilmore swimmer Michal Skrodski! Congratulations to all of the champions.
