The Bunnings barbeques are one of the main sources of fund raising for the KSC and also a really great way of getting to know other parents and swimmers of the club. This year we have been lucky again to have been allocated two Bunnings barbeques; the first one at Craigieburn on Sunday 3rd of May and the second at Epping on Saturday 11th of July.
In the past, these fundraisers have been very successful for the club, but rely on most parents and swimmers contributing a 2 hour period of their time. The success of these activities require 3 to 4 people per shift and each shift is 2 hours long. There are 4 shifts in total across the allocated day starting at 8.00am (setup shift), with the last shift finishing at 4.00pm (pack-up shift). Therefore we are seeking parents and swimmers, if available, to volunteer and assist the club with these fundraising events. With only 4 weeks until the first BBQ (Sunday 3rd of May), and no training across April, we will try to fill the roster via e-mail.
The roster template for the first BBQ is below. Please email secretary@kilmoreswimmingclub.org.au to indicating your preferred two hour shift. Note that not everyone will be allocated their preference if a particular shift is popular but the committee will try to place you close to your preferred time slot if possible. Volunteers to be allocated by first-in basis and the finalised roster will be sent out in the week before the BBQ.
